Salamat and Si Yu’os Ma’åse’ to Reading Action Program Co-Chair Lion Annibelle Grace Lopena, DCS Lion Marilyn Parnes, and our outstanding featured reader, Reading Action Program Chair Lion Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera, for generously sharing their time and talents, bringing stories to life, and inspiring a love of reading among our young learners.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who attended the Lions Clubs International District 204 Region 2 Summer Saturday Story Time on July 12, 2026. Although the event was unplanned, Dr. Matilda was able to make literacy happen before departing Saipan, where she had been participating in the NEH Saipan Land and Sea Program. Your enthusiasm, participation, and support helped make the event a memorable and meaningful experience for all.

 As summer continues, keep turning pages, exploring new stories, and embracing all the opportunities this beautiful season has to offer.

A special thank you to our guest readers—Ms. Dayanara Flores, Lion Wilfredo Arago Abu, Ms. Paseva Ngotel, and Leo Jose Bonto—for generously sharing your time, enthusiasm, and love of reading with the students. Your dedication helped make this activity meaningful, engaging, and memorable for the young learners.

Our gratitude also goes to Ms. Mila Songcuan and the Green Meadow School community for their warm hospitality and partnership.
